1/4" RO Stem to Small Dosing Line Barb Adapter
This 1/4" RO stem to small hose barb adapter is a practical connector for aquarium dosing lines, flexible hose and airline-style tubing. The smooth stem side is designed to push into a standard 1/4" RO quick-connect fitting, while the smaller barbed side is better suited to flexible aquarium tubing commonly used with dosing pumps, dosing containers and low-pressure aquarium equipment.
Unlike larger 1/4" hose barb fittings, this adapter has a thinner barb section, making it easier to connect to smaller flexible dosing lines. This makes it especially useful for reef aquarium setups where you want to transition from soft flexible tubing to more rigid 1/4" RO tubing for longer, cleaner and more secure line runs.

Installation Notes
- Push the smooth 1/4" stem fully into a compatible RO quick-connect fitting.
- Push the flexible dosing line or soft tubing securely over the smaller barbed end.
- Connect 1/4" RO tubing to the other side of the RO fitting if converting to an RO tube line.
- For very soft tubing, slippery tubing or higher-flow applications, secure the hose with a small cable tie or suitable clamp if needed.
- Always leak-test the connection before leaving it unattended.
- Check that your flexible tubing inner diameter is suitable for the barb size before use.
Note: Standard 1/4" RO tubing and RO fittings are usually based on the tubing outer diameter. Flexible dosing line, silicone tube and airline-style tubing are often measured by inner diameter, so please confirm compatibility with your tubing before installation.
