Description

Reverse Osmosis Membrane TFC-1812-75 GPD

This TFC-1812-75 GPD reverse osmosis membrane is a replacement RO membrane designed for compatible standard 1812-style RO and RODI systems. It is suitable for producing cleaner filtered water for reef aquariums, freshwater aquariums, drinking water systems and general RO water applications.

For aquarium use, a quality RO membrane is one of the most important parts of the filtration system. It helps reduce dissolved solids and impurities from tap water before the water reaches DI resin or final polishing stages. This can help produce more consistent source water for mixing saltwater, topping off evaporation and preparing water changes.

Common Uses

  • Replacement membrane for compatible RO and RODI systems
  • Reef aquarium water production
  • Freshwater aquarium water preparation
  • RO/DI systems for saltwater mixing stations
  • ATO reservoir water production
  • General reverse osmosis water filtration

Key Features

  • 75 GPD reverse osmosis membrane
  • Standard 1812-style membrane size
  • TFC membrane construction
  • Helps reduce dissolved solids from tap water
  • Suitable for compatible aquarium RO/DI systems
  • Ideal for reef tanks, freshwater tanks and water change preparation

Installation Notes

  • Check that your RO membrane housing accepts standard 1812-style membranes before purchasing.
  • Install in the correct flow direction according to your RO unit or membrane housing.
  • Flush the membrane before using the filtered water for aquariums or drinking water.
  • Use with suitable sediment and carbon pre-filters to help protect the membrane.
  • Monitor product water TDS to confirm membrane performance over time.
  • Replace the membrane when rejection performance drops or product water TDS rises significantly.

Note: Actual water production and rejection performance can vary depending on water pressure, water temperature, tap water TDS, pre-filter condition and system setup. For reef aquarium use, this membrane is commonly used before DI resin as part of a complete RODI system.
